GENTLE ACTIVITY?

Take a lunch hamper and stroll through the timber down to the brook.

Explore  one of the many hidden forest streams.

For the patient observer there is a great variety of wildlife to be seen.

 A myriad of birds, kangaroos, wallaroos, wallabies, possums, echidnas, wombats, sugar gliders, lizards, water dragons, to name but a few

 

 

 

 

BUSHWALKING ?    -     MOUNTAIN BIKING ?

    Sample the many kilometres of bush-walking / cycling trails ranging from easy walks/rides to quite challenging climbs and cross country adventures.

Bring you mountain bike to cycle along these kilometres of forest trails.

 

 

 

 

FISHING ?

Fish for silver perch in one the well stocked dams high up on the mountain side?

Visit Glenbawn Dam - a renowned inland fishing site

Drive to the famous trout streams of Barrington tops (season limited   October to June)

 

 

MOUNTAIN CLIMBING ?

Be really energetic and climb one of the mountain peaks that surround the head of the valley.  

Craigmhor ranges in height above sea level from Rouchel Brook at 500m (1640') to the top of Big Jacky mountain at 1320m (4330')?

 

TOURING ?

Take one of the 4 wheel-drive tours of the property and surrounding areas that can be arranged.
Other tours can be arranged (or drive yourself ) to

  • see the worlds second biggest concentration of horse studs, 
  • visit Lake Glenbawn whch has some of the best inland fishing in N.S.W.

  • take a day trip to Barrington Tops National Park

  • taste some of the wines produced by the Upper Hunter wineries

  • visit historical sites of interest and local museums

  • watch some world class polo or campdrafting
